The Spicy Tuna-Melt Sandwich
An All-American lunch time classic. Last week’s shoot in Terrabonne, OR with Erik Simkins and Jansen Hillis sparked a conversation about tuna sandwiches. “I mean, isn’t there only one way to make a tuna sandwich?” Erik asked. Here at Hipster Decadence, we like to experiment with new twists on old favorites. Here’s our version—what’s yours?
SPICY TUNA MELT (makes two sandwiches)
Ingredients:
4 slices of Dave’s Killer Bread (If you haven’t had it, you’re missing out!)
1 can solid white albacore tuna
2 table spoons mayonnaise
2 slices of mozzarella cheese
Crushed red pepper flakes
Johnny’s seasoning salt
Black pepper
Butter

Mix the tuna and the mayo together as you’ve always done. Now it’s time to spice it up! Add liberal amounts of black pepper, Johnny’s seasoning salt, and a very liberal amount of crushed red pepper to taste. Spread the tuna on Dave’s Killer Bread, and put your mozzarella cheese on top. Butter the bread on the outside and toast the sandwich in a pan at medium high on your stove or toaster oven. Viola! Simple right?? We hope you will enjoy our take on an old favorite!

Yeah boyeee!
