“Pictures of Sound” - I had the pleasure of cowriting this song with Charles Hout (of Winter Gloves/Paperbag Records) during my writing-trip to Toronto over the summer!
This was one of my favorite sessions on my last cowriting trip. I hadn’t seen Charles since the Deerhurst retreat in Muskoka, Ontario 2 years earlier. We had talked about working together before but our schedules never lined up… So this past June we got to hangout for a few hours before his flight to Montreal. The session was a breeze and “Pictures of Sound” just flowed out of us. Then when I got back to Oregon I sent him some basic tracks which he laid drums, bass, and background vocals to.
