A great read debating what makes up the NW music scene, and those who “decide it” in journalism. Well said.
Wave
I can’t remember the last time I sat down to write something, anything. Just words (not songs, just words). Something meaningless or meaningful. No matter.
There’s so much happening, it seems, I’m not sure where to begin. Let alone how or why. So much to do, so much to see, so many people/places/things (nouns) vying for attention, entertainment, cures, answers… Sometimes I feel as though my mind just gets lost in the mix. My inner dialogue swirls in a tornado of thoughts until finally it’s out of breath and tells me to stop. That’s when I hit the wall and I’m too tired to scribble out my thoughts or blog about something. I’m sure there are those of you out there that know this feeling well!?
Need fuel. Energy low.
So, I’m writing now. Just words. Something meaningless or meaningful. No matter. Just something.
In other news I’m working on some new music, mixing the Josh and Mer album next week, and my next wave of ideas appears to be just over the horizon!
Love,
Josh (The Terrible Fake)

My song “In A Concrete Forest” from my first solo EP, Love Is A Shade, was just featured on a very cool blog called Sunset In The Rearview. Take a look see when you have a chance! Love, - The Terrible Fake
The Spicy Tuna-Melt Sandwich
An All-American lunch time classic. Last week’s shoot in Terrabonne, OR with Erik Simkins and Jansen Hillis sparked a conversation about tuna sandwiches. “I mean, isn’t there only one way to make a tuna sandwich?” Erik asked. Here at Hipster Decadence, we like to experiment with new twists on old favorites. Here’s our version—what’s yours?
SPICY TUNA MELT (makes two sandwiches)
Ingredients:
4 slices of Dave’s Killer Bread (If you haven’t had it, you’re missing out!)
1 can solid white albacore tuna
2 table spoons mayonnaise
2 slices of mozzarella cheese
Crushed red pepper flakes
Johnny’s seasoning salt
Black pepper
Butter
Mix the tuna and the mayo together as you’ve always done. Now it’s time to spice it up! Add liberal amounts of black pepper, Johnny’s seasoning salt, and a very liberal amount of crushed red pepper to taste. Spread the tuna on Dave’s Killer Bread, and put your mozzarella cheese on top. Butter the bread on the outside and toast the sandwich in a pan at medium high on your stove or toaster oven. Viola! Simple right?? We hope you will enjoy our take on an old favorite!
Yeah boyeee!
Coming March 17th, 2011… wait for it… wait for it… FIDDLY DIDDLY DEE!!!
